Butterflyzer

Butterflyzer is a unique desktop application for researching, cataloging, analyzing, and visualizing social media and related events. Unlike other social media analysis tools, Butterflyzer doesn't give you the answers.. we don't even tell you what questions to ask! Instead, Butterflyzer is like an in-house geek, research assistant, and librarian for the web. It can help you find and quickly integrate information you need from various sources -- including Twitter, Topsy, Google Insights, PlaceMaker and other web sources -- and enriches that information with semantics provided by OpenCalais, allowing you to quickly focus on specific issues and events.

Thinkpedia

Thinkpedia is a new way to navigate and explore the contents of Wikipedia. It is what we call a "Visual Wiki". Thinkpedia usesSemanticProxy in order to extract semantics out of Wikipedia articles, which are then shown in an interactive visualization which is created with Thinkmap.

The visualization is displayed along with the Wikipedia article, providing a focus plus context view. The thickness of the edges in the visualized graph corresponds to the relevance of the connected items. A range slider at the bottom of the application can be used to filter the graph according to this relevance.
