Calais Release 4 (R4) includes new capabilities as well as enhancements to existing capabilities.
First and foremost, Calais is now part of the Linked Data Cloud and serves dereferenceable URIs for entities based on the Linked Data standard;
RDF responses are also retrievable via their unique document URIs;
We now support entity identification in French for a large subset of Calais entity types;
We've added new categories to the document level categorization;
There are significant additions to the semantic metadata Calais generates in the areas of product-related events, competitive intelligence and judicial events.
