I realize that http://opencalais.com/documentation/calais-web-service-api/rdfs always brings me to a place where I can manually click to get the latest RDFS (which is currently http://opencalais.com/files/RDFS%20schema_09Jun16.txt). Is there an API by which I can always access the latest RDFS? In other words, I realize that I could access http://opencalais.com/files/RDFS%20schema_09Jun16.txt programmatically but my program won't know when a new version of the RDFS is available at a new url.

Do you offer api access to latest RDFS?

Hi John -

We're slated to release R4.3 within days, and the OWL ontology is part of it. Thanks for your patience.

Any update on when to expect R4.3 and/or the OWL ontology?

John -

We are releasing OpenCalais 4.3 today - it includes the OWL ontology, enhancements to Tagaroo and SemanticProxy, new Entities/Events/Facts, and some bug fixes.

Check out the release notes at: http://www.opencalais.com/documentation/opencalais-documentation/opencalais-release-notes.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,

Sorry, there isn't such an API at the moment. However, in the next release, expected to be rolled out during Q4, we'll replace the RDFS with an OWL ontology. The new ontology will be accessible using its URI.

I haven't heard anything about an upcoming release in Q4 so wanted to check whether the OWL ontology is still expected Q4 or if some other date-range would be a more realistic expectation for it.
