WordPress 2.8 has been released, and Tagaroo support of it is in the works - including Social Tags, and other features. Be patient - it shouldn't be more than a few days.
The new version of Tagaroo (1.3) available above is virtually unsulable for me. While typing it will constantly attempt to add tags on the fly which temporarily halts the editor. Trying to backspace an entire word for instance is nearly impossible because at each character deleted the new version will attempt to see if there are new tags available temporarily freezing the editor. This makes typing a blog using the editor a real annoyance. I've disabled mine again and am seriously considering downgrading back to wp 2.7.1 so I can use tagaroo 1.2 again.
Tagaroo 1.3 has many changes in how the tagged data returned from the API is handled. There are no changes in the interaction with the user authoring experience. Tagaroo 1.2 behaves similarly i.e. generates tags on the fly.
Is it possible that you had settings in WP 2.7.1 which did not get ported to WP 2.8? Which browser are you using?
I guess there is a possibility that some settings got reset after my upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.8, but it was a pretty straightforward upgrade and all my settings should have been ported. I'm by no means an expert in the matter and maybe I'm an isolated incident, but I've noticed that when typing text into the 2.8 editor with tagaroo enabled it keeps trying to search for new tags with each addtl. letter I type rather than waiting until a few new whole words are there. This frequently locks up the editor so eventhough I'm typing nothing shows up on screen for a few milliseconds and then it'll display the text as if it is catching up with my typing.
I'm using Firefox 3.0.11 but have the same issue using IE8 or Safari.
I know you said be patient but it has been more than a few days and Tagaroo is crashing out my 2.8 admin area :( do you know when the update will be?
