Hi guys,
I found a lot of hints that German and other languages will be available last year or sometime, but the date is not important for me. I'd like to know for my bachelor thesis what is so complicated to enable new languages. What are the trapdoors and do you have to adapt the algorithm to the languages?
Greetings Philipp

Hi Philipp,
I will try to share as much as I can.

See reply from NaamaNLP titled 'The people behind Calais' learning...' at http://www.opencalais.com/how-does-calais-learn. You should get a good sense of whats involved and how things work with Open Calais. As you can guess, we do need to adapt the algorithms to suit different languages. Some of the linguistic knowledge is applicable and common across languages.

Hope that helps.
