Where are sameAs dbpedia and freebase information?

Hi all,

In your examples given in http://www.opencalais.com/documentation/linked-data-entities the links to the LinkedData (sameAs to freebase or dbpedia) just disapeared. Even for the examples (IBM) these sameAs links are not there anymore.

Is it a bug? Is there a change in the API I did not see?

About the person entities you can only access the alias.
It is indeed really hard to disambiguate a person in such a little amout of time since it requires some extra processing by using the context, semantic links etc...
So I guess OpenCalais guys are working on it but it requires more sophisticated processing.

Looks easy to disambiguate Obama in Barack Obama since if it was Michelle it would have been mentionned but the real question is how to disambiguate John Smith ^^?

Thanks remimix.
We were having some issues with the sameAs links and now its back. With 4.3 we have added the person normalization feature and its in the pipeline to complete this feature and add it to our linked data repository.

Yes, I am also very interested in development of the same:as. It seems to be implemented with locations, and most companies.

Although I wasn't able to find any person entities linked to same:as (dbpedia). Could OpenCalais provide some more insight into the status of the roll out of linked data?

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in getting back on this one.

Recently there were some schema changes at dbpedia which requires our linked data plugins to be modified and checked a bit. We have started the work on this and will bring it back online as soon as we can.
