I get the error message: "403 Developer Over Rate"

I'm pretty surprised because I think do:
- about 10,000 requests/day
- I've controlled the rate to 2 requests max /s

Do you have any idea about why I get this error message?

Thank you for your help!

Paul

Paul,

For Thursday and Friday of last week, 10/13 and 10/14, your key submitted 105,000 and 180,000 documents. Is it possible that your key is being used by more than one application?

I haven't seen your answer before, thank you for your reply (I think that no email has been sent to my registered email address).

Thank you for the info about the number of submitted documents. I might make several times the request for the same document then. I have to check that.

Thanks again. I'll place a counter for each request, I was only considering the number of articles saved daily to my database!

Hello,

we started getting today this error. We are not making more than 50.000 calls a day. We have checked, it we might have done more than 4 per second at some point. We have done some changes to our application not do so. How can get rid of this limitation? Do I need to create a new api key. The api key we were using was created by Thimoty Dueñez, with email thimoty@weall.tv.

Hope you can help us.

Hi,

According to the logs and the API reporting this key has already successfully submitted 30,000 documents today with another 10,000 blocked, and is one of the top users overall for this week (over 430,000 blocked and allowed total since Sunday). The limit is applied on a rolling 24-hour basis. You may want to find out if someone else in your organization is also using this key, even if for testing.

To troubleshoot, I've temporarily removed the limits from your account and confirmed that your key is valid. Please try again and let me know what happens.

Vasko, it's the 4 transactions per second that you're getting an error on, not the 50,000/day. It's two separate limitations.

Neal,

I understand that. That is why I stopped all of my processes.Waited for about 5-10 min. and tried again with a single call to "enlighten". I had Same (403) result ! That is why I concluded that:
a) I exceeded somehow the total quota for today
b) my API key is blocked ?
If this persist how shall I proceed. Request a new key ? wait till tomorrow ?

Neal,

I just stopped all of my process ,tried again and had the same issue, I am sure I am not making more than 50 000 transactions per day. Could it be that my key has been invalidated ?

Vasko,

This error is return when individual developer submissions exceed the 4 transactions per second rate. Have you changed the way or speed at which you submit documents to the service?
