Forum HTML editor is just a pain

Try the following scenario:
- spend some significant time on writing a new post
- switch to "preview" tab right below text area
- collect some infos in other browser window
- get back to your post
- *click into your text again* to edit stuff and press *backspace*
- voila, you just lost your post!
.. I won't even mention the missing code formatting options.. :(

TinyMCE is a perfect HTML editor for blogs and has a lot of support behind it. If you ever lose your work like that again hit Ctrl-Z to undo your last action and you may be able to retrieve it if your lucky. I lost a 3 page article about text links once and now i'm an avid document saver i hit ctrl-s religiously to make sure if anything goes wrong crashes or closes I have a pretty up to date copy.

We recently replaced our WYSIWYG editor with TinyMCEditor for a number of reasons. Check it out and let us know whether it behaves more appropriately and offers more of the features that make sense to you.

We'll look into improvements. We're using an off-the-shelf editor integrated with Drupal. We may have configured something wrong - or we may have chosen the wrong tool.
Until we fix it... regular saves are your friend.
Any pointers to a site that does this really well would be welcomed.
