Gnosis is the cutting edge of real-time semantic processing for the web. Gnosis evaluates web pages you read as you read them, immediately locating key information such as people, organizations, companies, products and geographies within the text. Simply hover over any of the identified topics, and immediately locate relevant news, blog entries, maps, company information and Wikipedia entries.

Default processing is delivered upon Gnosis installation for 13 information and media web sites. With a click of a button you can customize this list of web sites so that Gnosis always analyzes the web pages that are important to you.

Privacy - Gnosis does not retain the content you submit for processing, including the address of the website submitted, but we do keep a copy of the metadata. We also maintain normal web server logs including the date and time of the transaction, the length of the content submitted and the submitting IP address.

What Gnosis does is very simple - but powerful. In this example, Gnosis has analyzed the page (this takes about half a second) and identified a variety of people, places, organizations and other entities. Each entity located is underlined to highlight what Gnosis has found. 

To enhance the Gnosis analysis, three customizable features are available:

• Sidebar summary of the Gnosis analysis - See a bird's eye view of what Gnosis has identified on the web page.
• Automatic Gnosis processing of web pages upon loading them - Have Gnosis automatically process pages; you can alternatively choose to invoke Gnosis on specific, individual web pages.
• Automatic processing of specific sites -  Invoke Gnosis power automatically on the websites that matter to you.

Hover over an item that Gnosis has identified. Depending on the type of entity (a person, company, geography, etc.), Gnosis will present a small pop-up box with a number of potential actions. Click on any of these items to launch the related search or action.

Gnosis can also process a portion of a page. Select the portion and right-click to process it.

The sidebar presents a complete listing of everything Gnosis has located on the page and allows you to navigate and explore that content. On the Gnosis Options menu, check the box next to Open Gnosis Sidebar after processing if you want to always view the Gnosis sidebar after processing a page. You can always display the sidebar through the browser View menu.
