Website maintenance scheduled

We have scheduled some housekeeping chores that will take the Open Calais website off line on Monday, February 6. We don't expect the chores to take more than a few minutes, but access to the website will be limited between 4 and 5 p.m., EST. The Open Calais API will be completely available during this time.

Help Us Build the 2009 Calais Roadmap

We'd like to thank each and every one of you for contributing to the success of Calais over the last year. From an idea in mid-2007 to our launch in January 2008, it's been an amazing ride.

We're wrapping up the year with 9,000 registered users of the Calais service who are submitting one to two million transactions each day. You've built dozens, if not hundreds, of innovative applications and you've provided regular feedback to help us make the service more useful. Thank you. We truly could not have done it without you.

Mashup Camp - Your View

Mashup Camp's over. We've packed our tents, tidied up the campsite, and are moving on.

The Calais team certainly had a good experience this week at Mashup Camp in Mountain View. We congratulate all the winners and contributors whose creativity and energy in developing applications drove the camp's success.

If you attended the camp, we'd love to hear about your experience - what worked, what didn't. If you'd never attended mashup camp before, how did it meet your expectations? If you're an old pro, how did it differ from previous camps?
